“Yoga every morning.” I answered him as I did my best to stop and think it over. I had never actually put any thought into any of this really. A lot of it was just habit and going through the daily motions. Thinking about it now almost made it feel… boring.

“Then, after yoga I go downstairs and spend about 45 minutes making oddly shaped waffles like I …I used to do with my dad.”

I felt my heart clench some because despite having lived with a family who was in all sense my family, they weren’t from my world and I had a hard time calling Cyrus and Vespera my mom and dad even to their face. I didn’t hate the Gods but the fact that they caused this? Caused all these worlds to fold into one reality? It made this hard and confusing and sometimes painful. I always watched movies growing up talking about the multi-verse and different worlds but I never thought I would be living through it.

Trying to get those thoughts out of my head though I tried ot focus on the conversation at hand once more. “It really depends on the day. Sometimes on Saturday I’ll watch cartoons like I’m 7 years old unless I have something important to do. I also uh I’m part of this group that fights against discrimination towards supes.”

I was silent after that, almost waiting for some sort of retribution for it.

“I watch cartoons too sometimes to be honest, kinda a nice escape from the bullshit of daily life.” He said, looking at me almost curiously.

“Really?” The question geared more towards him watching cartoons. ”You watch cartoons? I don’t believe it. You look way too hot and cool to watch them.” Yes, that was my lame attempt at flirting. I mean, I hadn’t done that with him yet.

“What, me? Oh please, you haven’t seen my house yet, decked out as much as possible in the nerdiest of things thank you.” He snorted, laughing, “And a group that fights against super discrimination? I think I’ve seen something about that… I actually talked to Brodie and Felix about it before. We were thinking about teaming up with one of them to do a campaign run.”

“Well then, I look forward to seeing your house then.” At least I hoped that I’d get that opportunity.

He knew about them? That was awesome! Sometimes supes hadn’t heard of it or instantly shut down the conversation but he wasn’t and that was great to see. I smiled at him as he tilted his head about to speak again. “So yoga huh? Does it help?” He asked changing the subject, drinking from his beer again. “I mean, more in the does it help with your mood and stuff or is it just something to do to pass time? Kinda heard it varies from person to person.”

I took a few sips of my own beer after opening it.

“And yes, it works for me. I’ve been doing it since I was 16. It definitely relaxes me.
